Stainless Steel 439 is a ferritic stainless steel with about 17.35% Chromium, 0.5% Nickel, and trace amounts of elements like Titanium for stabilization. This composition gives excellent corrosion resistance, good formability, and weldability. It has good resistance to stress corrosion cracking and lower susceptibility to intergranular corrosion. The material also retains structural integrity under high temperatures, making it applicable in thermal applications.
