316Ti sheets and plates are made up of chromium (16–18%), nickel (10–14%), molybdenum (2–3%), and titanium (up to 0.7%). The presence of titanium stabilizes the alloy, avoiding sensitization and intergranular corrosion, particularly after welding or during long exposure to heat. The sheets and plates exhibit superb mechanical properties with tensile strength of approximately 550 MPa and yield strength of about 240 MPa. They also have excellent ductility, formability, and toughness even at high temperatures. The molybdenum provides increased resistance to crevice corrosion and pitting, making 316Ti suitable for both chemical exposure and thermal stress conditions.
