Stainless Steel 420 is a high-carbon martensitic stainless steel consisting of about 12–14% Chromium and about 0.15% Carbon. This mix offers excellent hardness, wear resistance, and reasonable corrosion resistance. The material can be heat-treated to provide high tensile strength and excellent thermal stability.
