Stainless Steel 347 Nuts are produced from a stabilized austenitic stainless steel alloy having 17–20% chromium, 9–13% nickel, and columbium (niobium) for increased resistance to intergranular corrosion. The material provides superior mechanical characteristics, such as a tensile strength of around 515 MPa, a yield strength of 205 MPa, and elevated elongation and toughness. These nuts are best suited in welding applications and exposure to high temperatures for long durations, as they retain their structure and are resistant to sensitization.
