Stainless Steel 317L Pipes are manufactured using a low-carbon, molybdenum-containing austenitic stainless steel alloy. Their content contains around 18% chromium, 13% nickel, and 3% molybdenum along with a lower content of carbon to improve weldability as well as corrosion resistance. These pipes possess excellent pitting, crevice corrosion, and chloride stress corrosion cracking resistance. Their mechanical properties are high tensile strength of 520–700 MPa, yield strength of 205 MPa, and elongation of 40–50%.
