Stainless Steel 316Ti Fasteners are fabricated using a titanium-stabilized form of 316 stainless steel, with a composition of 16–18% chromium, 10–14% nickel, 2–3% molybdenum, and titanium in addition to that. The titanium improves the alloy’s resistance to intergranular corrosion, particularly following welding or thermal exposure. Such fasteners usually provide tensile properties of approximately 515 MPa and yield strength of 205 MPa, plus good ductility, toughness, and corrosion resistance. They are especially applicable for use in thermal cycling and harsh chemical environments.
