Stainless Steel 310 coils consist of around 24–26% chromium and 19–22% nickel, which provides them with excellent resistance to scaling and oxidation at high temperatures. The coils are known to exhibit high tensile strength (usually 515–620 MPa) and good creep resistance, which enables them to withstand structural stresses in temperatures up to 1150°C. The alloy is also good at resisting corrosion in mildly aggressive environments and has excellent toughness and weldability, so it can be used for heavy-duty high-temperature applications.
