316/316L stainless steel forged fittings contain 16–18% chromium, 10–14% nickel, and 2–3% molybdenum, which provides superior corrosion resistance in chloride-rich and acidic mediums. 316L grade has less carbon, improving weldability and lowering the danger of carbide precipitation. These forged fittings have a minimum tensile strength of 515 MPa, yield strength of 205 MPa, and satisfactory ductility, elongation at about 40%. Their high-pressure and high-temperature properties make them suitable for critical piping systems where safety, strength, and corrosion resistance are paramount.
