E316/316H‑16 electrodes contain 16–18% chromium, 10–14% nickel, and 2–3% molybdenum, with a higher carbon content (0.04–0.10%) for improved high-temperature strength. The welds provide a tensile strength of around 600–700 MPa and better creep resistance. The higher carbon content enhances mechanical stability at elevated temperatures, while the molybdenum helps maintain corrosion resistance, making the electrodes suitable for service in conditions up to 800–900 °C.
